THE PRIGORJE DANCES

The Prigorje dances were danced mainly on holidays in villages in the immediate vicinity of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. A dance during which the performers vibrate their body vertically stands out in particular. The colorful national costumes have become a cultural symbol of the city of Zagreb, but also a national symbol of Croatia in the world. The Prigorje dances are cheerful, energetic, temperamental and simply irresistible. Just like the Croats.
