The Slavonian wheel dances were often performed with the accompaniment of a tambourine samica. Drumarac song, Rococo dances, wheel dances called Krmačica and Povrnito kolo are part of the rich musical and dance heritage of Brodsko Posavlje. An indispensable part of most life and annual customs, of every celebration and merriment, a kind of trademark of Slavonia and the whole of Šokadia is a so-called bećarac – decasyllabic rhyming couplet. In 2011, UNESCO included Bećarac in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
