Choreography: Ivan Ivančan
Musical arrangement: Ivan Ivančan and Marijan Makar
It is the most awarded Croatian choreography, which uses dance, song, music and costumes to depict scenes from the wedding customs of Podravina. The wedding party ends at the groom's house. The masquerades arrive and dance holding handkerchiefs and rolling pins. Drmeš dance is a constant among various folk and wheel dances, during which the qualities of the bride are tested. In Croatian tradition, it was often the case that the groom's family wanted to make sure of the health of the woman coming into their family through dancing. The main characters are the bride, groom, maids, old mothers and flag bearers whose solo performances give a special dynamic to the entire choreography.
